Tell you early
A delay reported at 9 a.m. is a problem you can work around. The same delay reported at 5 p.m. is a missed window. We call as soon as we know.
About us
Kings Mountain Logistics is a domestic freight company serving shippers across the contiguous United States. We started because too many loads were being handed off and forgotten.
Our story
Kings Mountain is named for high ground — the place you climb to see the whole route ahead. That is the job we took on. A shipper should not have to chase a truck across three time zones to find out whether a delivery will hit its window.
So we built the company around one idea: every load gets a named person, a plan and a checkpoint schedule before the wheels turn. When something changes on the road, you hear it from us first.
We are not the biggest freight company in the country and we are not trying to be. We are the one that answers the phone at 4 a.m. when a driver is sitting at a closed gate.
What we hold to
A delay reported at 9 a.m. is a problem you can work around. The same delay reported at 5 p.m. is a missed window. We call as soon as we know.
Active operating authority, an acceptable safety rating and current cargo insurance are checked before a carrier is assigned, not after a claim.
Accessorials are explained up front and never added to an invoice without your approval in writing.
Nights, weekends and holidays. Freight does not keep office hours, so neither does dispatch.
Send the lane, the weight and the date. We come back with a rate and a truck, not a runaround.
